Samoa Holiday

We went off island for a little break to Samoa. We arrived at Faleolo airport and caught the first taxi on the rank to Apia. At first glance the taxi looked to be in reasonable shape but driving along, this would prove not to be the case. The airport is about a 45 min drive from Apia our speedy driver got us there in a cool 30 min overtaking on blind corners, dodging pigs and slow cars.

I had a quick look at his speedometer just to check the speed - being so used to driving at 25 mph it's not hard for 50km to feel fast, so I check and the needle and it's sitting on 0. Jason tells me later that the brakes didn't work either all he heard was a grinding noise. Well he did manage to deliver us to the hotel, and in good time.
