Ottoville

Our rental home in Fogagogo

Ottoville is a village/suburb where the children's schools are: Pacific Horizons and Nazareth Montessori School. The church also meets in a hall located in this village/suburb. It's about 5 mins drive from where we live in the village of Fogagogo (Fo -nga -ngo -ngo). Apparently our village is where the rich and famous live, so a Dr told me at the hospital - you'd never guess looking at the roads in our village.

Talia's School Pacific Horizons: Groovy paint job reminiscent of the 70's - It's supposed to be the sea, if you hadn't guessed. There are 4 buildings that are split into 2 classrooms. There's no AC but they have a fan to keep cool...till after school. The pine tree to the left is a gathering place for Mums during the after school pick-up.

Noah's school is just around the corner from Talia's school - He attends the Nazareth Montessori School, just to clarify which of these services pertains to him. His school starts at 8am but we often drop him off in time for breakfast at 7.30am and pick up is at 12pm.

There are 3 congregations here on the island (Tafuna, Leone and Nu'uuli), we attend the Tafuna church which has a mixed group of Samoans and Palagis about 50 attend, maybe more. We currently rent this building for Sunday services. Service is conducted mainly in English with some Samoan songs and translation of the key scripture for that morning. They have a Sunday school class with up to 17 kids aged from toddler to pre-teen. The kids have their class in a corridor, rain or shine and all the work is done on the floor, no desks or chairs.
